Ms. Slippen handles employment litigation matters before state and federal courts and administrative agencies. She has experience with cases involving claims of race, sex, national origin, age, and disability discrimination, as well as sexual harassment and retaliatory discharge. Outside of the courtroom, Jessica advises clients on numerous workplace related issues, including wage and hour obligations, workers’ compensation, family and medical leave, and compliant personnel policies and practices. Jessica has extensive jury and non-jury litigation and trial experience in a wide range of complex litigation areas, including insurance coverage, contract and shareholder disputes, complex commercial foreclosures, and construction defects. 

Jessica graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2003 where she was the Administrative Editor of the Connecticut Law Review. She was the recipient of the CALI Award of Excellence in Legal Writing. Jessica belongs to the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association, and is also a member of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law and Young Lawyers Sections. She was listed as a Connecticut Super Lawyers Rising Stars®: Business Litigation; 2010-2011, then Super Lawyer for 2013-2014 (click here to review selection process). Jessica is admitted to practice before the Connecticut State Bar, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern District of New York and the District of Connecticut, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
